Hannah turns 2!!

It is truly unbelievable that my little baby girl is 2 years old!  She is such a joy and a delight to our family!  She has handled the transition to being a big sister like a champ and we are so proud of her!! At the age of two our little girl can sing her abcs, recognize most letters by sight and recognize her name easily.  She also knows how to spell Stop and whenever she sees a stop sign she says, "S..T..O..P.. STOP!".  She loves to sing songs and knows most of the words to many of them.  Her favorite children's song is Mary Had a Little Lamb, and her favorite country song is "Downtown" by Lady Antebellum and she can recognize many country songs by the first few notes when they begin on the radio.  She doesn't seem to have a favorite color but does prefer her pink and purple sippy cup to other colors.  Her favorite foods are pizza, guacamole, beans, and cheese.  She loves to ask us for a "few more mituts (minutes)", frequently wants to do things "real quick", "by self" or "Hannah do it", and I often hear "I wanted that" if I ask her to do something she doesn't want to do.  She is, however, pretty obedient, and is learning manners rather well asking politely for things (or quickly changing the way she asks when prompted). She's adorably shy, but talks constantly about people when they aren't around.   She remembers people and points them out in a crowd and remembers who they are associated with....ex. Grandaddy and Mama go together, as do Grandma and Papa, as do her friends and their parents or siblings.  She loves to talk on the phone and can often be found having "conversations" with grandaddy, papa, Aunt Julie or our pastor "Pastor Wade".  She has a few little phrases that she adds on to sentences.."though", "right now", and "also" are the main ones that come to mind.  She will say, "hold the baby though?" or "I need some snack right now" or "Hannah sad right now" or "I want some also" or "Mommy come upstairs also".

Welcome Baby Ethan

Ethan Matthew Seiter joined our family just one day past his due date on June 5th.  He weighed a whopping 10lbs 13oz and was 22 inches long.  And he is just perfect in every way!!!  So far Hannah is an awesome big sister and has adjusted surprisingly well.  We thrilled to have a son and excited for this new adventure to unfold!

May

May got started off as a pretty busy month.  The first weekend of May our good friends, the Matteo's, were here.  They came in town for a golf tournament and just for a little visit.  We had a wonderful time with them!  Hannah absolutely loved Josh and Jenny and continues to talk about them frequently!  We also enjoy our time with the Matteo's and again it was fun to be able to show people our new town and our new home!  Then just after Mother's Day we had 3 days with the Goforth girls and my cousin, Daniel's girlfriend, Shelley!  Shelley was up for a visit and my sister decided to head down to Charlotte for a few days so we could all be together.  We had a blast!  At 37 weeks pregnant, I was pretty slow moving, but we still enjoyed good time together.  It was so fun to watch Hannah with her cousins, and almost shocking to see her really as more of a little girl than as a baby.  We did lots of fun things like get ice cream, and play in the sprinklers, but the coolest thing was going to the Lazy 5 Ranch!  It is a ranch that was started about 20 years ago by a man who owned exotic animals as a hobby. Now he has TONS of animals and you take a safari ride to see and feed them all!  They have tons of llamas, deer, and ostriches.  Then they have crazy things like zebras, giraffes, a rhino, water buffalo, and much more!  It was so fun, and very interesting!!

Hannah is just continuing to blossom more and more!  Her words are becoming more and more clear, and she is able to express just about anything she needs to.  She has officially entered the "by self" stage as she wants to do EVERYTHING on her own.  She can now sing her ABCs, and count to 10! She is really into letters and numbers lately and has quite a few that she can easily recognize.  Her favorite cartoon is Superwhy, but she still watches Curious George and The Cat in the Hat.  She continues to love to read and will entertain herself for long periods of time just reading her books.  She has a few phrases she says that are quite adorable.

Hannah drops something then says, "Oopsiedoop, that's okay, I'll get it"
She will lay across your lap and say, "Scraka back"...translation, scratch my back!
Doing anything involved something hot, or climbing something or near the fireplace, she says, "Be very careful"
And the most recent thing is when she wants something, she says, "I neeeed it!"
