September

September seemed like a super busy month.  The kids and I went down to Atlanta on the Thursday before Labor Day to spend the night in Grant Park and go to the Atlanta Zoo with my dear friend Emily on Friday.  The kids had an absolute blast seeing all of the animals!!  They loved the Giraffes, Gorillas, and Panda Bears the best!!  We then headed up to Lake Lanier where Matt met us the next day at my parents house.  Hannah and Ethan loved riding on Grandaddy's boat and they even got to help him drive!!  Hannah loved getting on the tube and they both loved "whimmin" as Ethan would say.  We had a wonderful visit with Aunt Lauri, Uncle Ron and most of their kids while we were there too!!  We are so thankful that they made the trek out to my parents to hang out for the evening!! Unfortunately, that same night we had the first broken bone in the family.  Ethan fell off of Grandaddy's stationary golf cart and broke his collar bone.  He was a trooper and did a great job at the ER for his X-rays. The next week, Hannah started preschool and absolutely loves it!!  It's so fun hearing about what she is learning and the friends she is making!  On the 13th, Charlie was baptized and we were thankful to have Grandaddy and Mama visit for the occasion.  We are so thankful for our church community and were so excited to celebrate Charlie and the promises God has made to those who love and follow Him.  We went of a church retreat towards the end of the month and went apple picking while we were there.  We had a blast hanging out with other families and getting to know them better.

Charlie is 4 months!

At 4 months old, Charlie was still 14lbs 5oz, and was 25 inches long.  That means he dropped to the 50th percentile for weight.  Although this is the "smallest" baby I've had, his pediatrician was not worried at all.  He is a great eater and a great sleeper!  This month, Charlie really got the hang of rolling over from back to his belly.  He has seemingly forgotten how to go from tummy to back because he's so focused on his new skill.  He is starting to take naps in his crib, and still prefers to sleep on his side.  When he does get onto his belly he cries and cries and won't fall asleep.  Charlie is a super happy and laid back baby.  He will always give you great smiles even if he was woken up early and even as his eyelids are drooping as he falls asleep.  He is in size 3 diapers and can still wear both his 3-6 month clothes and his 6-9 month clothes.  As you can see from the pictures, Charlie LOVES his fingers!!!

August

August was spent loving on these precious babies!  We hung out at home a lot and played outside.  The kids are really enjoying Charlie now that he is more interactive!  We spent a week at St. Augustine Beach with my family and had a blast as always!!  I definitely didn't take as many pictures as I have in the past, but that's just because we were so much busier with 3!!  Charlie enjoyed his naps on the beach and Hannah and Ethan loved playing with their cousins.  We all loved being with all of the extended family too! 

Charlie is 3 months

At 3 months Charlie is consistently sleeping through the night.  We moved him up to his own room and he is in the big crib!  He has started to be able to scoot a little while on his back or tummy, and got himself wedged a few times in the bassinet.  He smiles, laughs, and has started to get ticklish!!!  He still basically naps in the swing, but we are trying to work on crib naps more.  He has started to enjoy the stroller more and loves to watch his big sister and big brother.  He is still a super relaxed baby and will go to anyone.  He still takes a paci, and the only times he cries are when he is hungry or sleepy.  He weighs 14lb 5oz and still fits well in his 3-6 month clothes.  He has started wearing some 6-9 month clothes too, but they are a little big.

July

July was a fun summer month for us!  We started the month off with a few days in Myrtle Beach to celebrate the 4th.  The kids loved the beach, the pool and especially the water park!  We had a blast, and everyone but Ethan enjoyed the fireworks.  The rest of the month included art camp for Hannah at a friend's house, a fun weekend in Asheville with cousins, dinner out with Uncle Elmer and Aunt Mary, a pony ride, and lots of fun hanging out around home.
